Yunus Ziya Arslan received the B.S. degree in 2002, the M.S. degree in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in 2009 all from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Istanbul University, Turkey. He spent six months at the University of Calgary as a Visitor Researcher. He was a visiting research professor at the BioMotion Center at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology between 2018-2019. He served as an associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa until August 2020. He is currently a full professor at the Department of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Institute of Graduate Studies in Science and Engineering, Turkish-German University.

 

His research areas are musculoskeletal biomechanics, computational modeling and simulation of human movement, computer-aided analysis of movement disorders, mechanical design, analysis, and production of biomedical and dental devices.
